Words of LIFE
The word "Hear" in Hebrew means to "Listen and to Obey". With each sermon, with each teaching, with each reading of the WORD of GOD, we have to apply what we have heard and read in our lives. Listening is not enough, Obedience has to follow.

Dear Family and Friends,

We are presently in the US in South Carolina, to spend Christmas with my daughter Leigh and granddaughter Lola.

As we celebrate Christmas, and read about the birth of JESUS from Matthew 2, we learn that the wise men went to look for JESUS to WORSHIP HIM.

Since Oct, we have been ministering a fair bit on WORSHIP. We've done a seminar on "Heart of Worship" together with good friends Andrew and Ingrid Greeff for the SALT Church in Gawler and we also led a "Night of Worship" at the Karobran New Life Centre, which is a Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Naracoorte, South Australia. When we sing songs of Praise and Thanksgiving, it is only one expression of Worship.

By definition, Worship is said to mean a bowing down in reverence. Worship is in essence about submission to GOD. Worship is about surrendering to GOD, and it is no coincidence that we raise our hands in a posture of surrender when we worship GOD in song.

It is one thing to know that JESUS is LORD and quite another to make JESUS LORD over our life. When we Worship GOD in Spirit and in Truth as JESUS spoke about in John 4, it is about making HIM LORD over our life. If we acknowledge that Worship is indeed about surrendering and submission to GOD, then it follows that Worship has to be a way of life.

This Christmas and New Year, let us all make a determined purpose to Worship JESUS, to surrender and submit our will as HE did, when HE chose to go to the cross. Let us always begin our prayers as he taught us, and ask for the Father's Will be done in our lives. My daughter Tandy shared this saying recently when she ministered: "A life totally surrendered, is a life truly lived" - this is the Heart of Worship, when we bow down on the inside of us, in our hearts.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Much Love,
Glenda and Philip

I spoke over 2 days at the Women's Promise Conference in Bendigo, Victoria in Australia. It was a very special time. The conference was organized by Sue Lamb and a team of women from various denominations, and we are increasingly seeing more churches working together to extend GOD's Kingdom.

Australia - Here are some photos of our time in Australia from Aug 8 - Dec 4

We ministered once again for SALT Church in South Australia Gawler with Andrew and Ingrid Greeff, who are from our home church in Port Elizabeth, S Africa.

We ministered for Dave and Helen Harris who pastor the Eaglehawk Life Centre in Bendigo - pictured with them on right with their children and Andrew and Ingrid. Above picture of ministry time in Eaglehawk Life Centre with the men coming forward to pray for the children.

We met Pastor Mark Von Blanckensee who was a co-speaker at a Restoration Conference in Esperance, West Australia. He then invited me to share at a women's and also at a men's meeting pictured above for the Gateway Church he was pastoring in Devonport, Tasmania. Mark's teaching on Values needs to be heard by more people.

Ministering for the first time at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Bendigo, Victoria. A new door that was opened through the Promise Conference.

I have done several seminars for the
Mount  Barker Baptist Church in
South Australia but this was the
first time ministering for their
Sunday morning service.

Sharing a message on "The Winds of Change" at a women's meeting. More often than not, the major changes in life are not without pain, but we have to see beyond and fix our eyes on JESUS.

Singapore - just a few photos of our time in Singapore.

This year we spent 11 days ministering in Singapore. This was the longest time I have spent in Singapore since 2006. At the beginning of the year, Singapore was not on the itinerary. Sometime in mid 2009, we felt led to open up some time for ministry in Singapore in December. It turned out to be GOD ordering our footsteps. It was an amazing time of ministry with many new doors opened. We met some impacting ministries and people in Singapore and came away with a strong sense that marketplace ministry is alive, vibrant and exciting. The message of Restoration was embraced and we have been invited back next year.

Sharing for the Rose of Sharon Fellowship at a café in downtown Singapore -- an example of marketplace ministry. I have not seen for a long time an assembly of women led by people with such passion and a sure knowing of their gifts and calling. A "calling" is an invitation from GOD, and the group of women from different churches and denominations leading the Fellowship certainly heard and heeded the voice of GOD. It only started some months ago but already the café where they meet is too small.

Here I am sharing at a weeknight youth meeting also in downtown Singapore. This particular fellowship also has people from across denominations with several expats and young professionals.

The diversity was a delight to see with a real hunger for JESUS.

I ministered for Rev Francis Khoo and his wife Shirley for their Covenant Vision School of Ministry. It was a GOD connection. We learned that Rev Francis has had a relationship with the Grace Family Church in Johannesburg - the same church who led my late husband Stephen to the LORD in 1974. We then learned that Rev Khoo also knows Dave Smethurst very well. Dave Smethurst was the one who led my sister to the LORD in 1973. She in turn then led me to the LORD. We had a very blessed time of fellowship with Rev Francis and Shirley.
