Letters & TestimoniesEyewitness Account This is a testimony from John Smith who first met me in a Christian bookstore in 1977. Those were very deeply painful times for me. John prayed for me that very first time he met me. I thank GOD for John and the many others who prayed for me, stood by me, lifted my weak arms and strengthened feeble knees. Never give up on anyone because GOD does not. Testimony by John C. Smith, Elder, Grace Family Church, Observatory, Johannesburg. Mid-year 1977, after entering full-time Christian Ministry, I was led to join our Team in Port Elizabeth (PE). We met regularly at 'Little Audreys' a Christian Bookshop owned by Eleen & Neville Hing. Early Saturday morning after arriving in PE, Eleen asked me to join her & Neville at Little Audreys as she was expecting a friend who had recently lost her husband in the bush war in South West Africa (now Namibia). After a short while, I recall very clearly, a slender, blond haired lady with a baby slumped in her arms and two small children, fearfully hanging onto their mother, appeared at the door. Eleen hurridly introduced us, and then as was practice in Little Audreys, bundled us all off into the prayer room under the stairs. Without another word we began laying hands on the mother and her three children and praying for a visitation from the Lord in each of their lives. We then concentrated prayer over the mother - at this, I recall for the first time in my life, a spray of tears as the tear ducts of the aggrieved mother opened, wetting us all in the process. This only spurred us on as we claimed Victory in the Heavenlies. When all was over - an hour later - Eleen introduced me to Glenda and her three small children. Glenda and her family met with us at Little Audreys regularly. We thank our Lord for His faithfulness in answering prayer and the miracle we witness every time Glenda ministers. God bless you as you remain faithful to His Calling upon your lives. John & Helen Johannesburg, South Africa 2009 |
