Forgiving in Advance

Here is the short version of your ministry’s impact on my life.

I've now been listening to Striving Woman vs. Woman at Rest, and it's really helping me to understand some things. Glenda, because of what you've been through, God has given you the ability to articulate what is in my heart. As you teach I have these “ah-ha” moments. I also wanted to share with you that there is a trickle-down impact. The lady who did the welcome (before you spoke Friday evening) let me know that she finally totally forgave a family member of hers. She talked with that individual for over an hour and realized that she had peace in her spirit. The first time in her life; and she's over 50. PRAISE GOD for all HE's doing.

How I Came to Know of the Ministry and “Forgiving In Advance”

Two years ago God knew I needed some help to get to where HE wanted me to be. I was talking to one of my friends, and out of the blue, she began to tell me about this lady who had come to their church. She told me that she had a couple of CDs she would loan me. One of the CD was on Forgiveness. That was the beginning of a new walk for me.

For several years I had been going through difficult time after difficult time with someone in my family. I love this person, but it seemed as though they just could not get their life together and continued to drag me into it. Most of the incidences were major not minor. On the day I decided to listen to the CD on Forgiveness, I was scrubbing my kitchen, and had the volume turned up. As I listened, GOD began to convict me and show me this individual and others that I said I had forgiven. I began to repent. I felt an immediate release of two of the persons, but then GOD showed me that I needed to go further with the one main person because they will always be a part of my life. At that time Sis Glenda began to talk on forgiving in advance. I lost it. GOD touched my heart and showed me that I had not totally turned loose because I was afraid of being continuously used and hurt. I gave all of that to HIM, and spoke out loud that I chose to forgive in advance. HE has healed all that hurt and pain. I continuously thank GOD for helping me to forgive in advance. That was my choice because I love GOD so much. I listen to HIM as to when or if I need to have contact with any of these individuals. One, I believe, HE has totally moved out of my life, another is still there in my prayers, and the main one is there and will always be there, but GOD gives me the grace, in HIS time, for us to have contact. In my releasing this individual, GOD is moving and bringing that individual closer to HIM. I got out of the way.

I learned that sometimes we think that we have forgiven and have given the person(s) over to GOD when we have not. Forgiveness is a choice each and every new day that GOD gives us. I thank GOD for the message He gave to Sis Glenda that has forever changed my life.

GOD bless you and Bro Phillip as you continue to listen to the voice of GOD and be obedient to His promptings.
